The Export Market Development Grant (EMDG) scheme is an Australian Government-funded program that supports small and medium businesses as they commence or scale-up export activities. The EMDG encourages businesses to expand their promotional activities into unknown markets by providing a funding safety-net of up to $770,000 over the course of 8 years, which is representative of the time it takes to establish a successful overseas exporting business.

Since 2011, nearly 30,000 businesses have received a total of $1.2 billion in export funds

This is an eligibility based grant - if you are pre-approved, you will receive funding as long as you meet the criteria and incur eligible expenses
